I have a heap (about 250) of these PB 93gn pills, coated in a teflon coating. I was wondering what load I could use for a fun plinker.

I am using a AIA M10A2 with a 14 inch barrel.

I have used, in the experiment stage, no powder as a cats sneeze load, and 2 grain of ADI AP70n, but have not gone any further than this. Accuracy was minute-o-coke can at 25metres.

Any other ideas?

I think Larry Gibson uses 3 or 4 grains of Bullseye with the Hornady 90-gr. SWC in the 7.62x39mm. I use 3.5 grs. of Red Dot and a Magtech 0.314" dia. 98-gr. LRN in the 7.62x54mmR. I don't know where ADI AP70n is on the burn rate chart, but if it's a fast pistol powder, you may want to up the charge a little. If it's like Unique, you may want to go to 4 grains. What diameter is the bullet/bore? Bigger seems to be better with these loads. A 14-inch barrel sounds handy (if kinda loud), but would be a $200 tax and Federal paperwork in the USA.

The bore slugs at 310 groove and with 301 lands. ADI AP70n is equivilent to Unique. The pill is a 312 diameter, I forgot to add that in my first post.

I have used 4gn AP70n behind a 125 cast pill for good effect. That same charge might make the 93gn zip along then.

The M10A2 is down the page a little. Mine is the shorty. Scoped up, is capable of MOA with my untuned handloads (125gn spitzer J word, 25gn ADI 2207, PMC Brass, WLR primer). Very barky, lots of fun.

Shooting pills? Might better try bullets, projectiles or even cast boolits...

I have a 93gr lee mold for my .32ACP that I've loaded for my AK using 4gr of Red Dot. It won't cycle, obviously, but makes for a fun little plinker load.
