Quite awhile ago there was a group buy for a clone of a RCBS Cowboy bullet, the mold actually being made by Lee. I see it referred to as the 45-230 CM, the BD45CM, and also as a clone of the Lyman 452423.
I bought one and quite awhile ago I cast up what must have been over a thousand of these and boxed them neatly, and have done nothing with them. I plan on loading and shooting a lot of them through a Colt Series 80 at Bowling Pins this winter. What Over All Length have people used with this bullet, and in what pistol?
I see people suggesting 5 grains of 231, 4.5 grains of Bullseye or 6 grains of Unique with them, but I'm also interested in any other powders people are using with them.
