:coffee: ----Got a chance to shoot the 45 at the range today---had 2 loads 3.8 bull and 5 Unique-----The bull definitely shot better----could be because I have faith in that load. The bull tore the heck out of a 2 inch. black bull---where as the Unique had quite a few rounds in the white about a 3.5 or 4inch group. well any day at the range is a good day.----Mag

I load Unique, Red Dot, HPC-1(spl), and Bullseye. I can't tell any difference in accuracy, but I think the Unique powder is a little dirtier.
I load 230gr. LRN and 196gr. SWC. also 230gr.FMJ for the last 2 mags. I start at 25yds. and spend the rest of the range time at 75 and 100yds.

years ago when i had a ransom rest i did a test with my bullseye 45 useing a HG #68 200 gr swc and varing charges of bullseye starting at 3.5 and going to 5.0 in 2 gr increments and fired 10 shot groups for each load, at 25 yards i used the standard 50 ' bullseye target one for a sighter and then put every target over the first sighter target after finishing the test i reliazed that the first sighter target had a composite of all groups on it for a total of 70 shots, well would you belive 70 shots with 7 different powder charges were all in 2 1/4

Yes 3.5 to 5grs. of bull will all group about the same if the shooter can handle the hotter loads------glad you came up with that because I have seen it as well---Mag
