Is this a trick question ? ...
Anytime you can get powder for less than $20.00/ pound you'd better jump on it , if you have the cash !!
Our prices out here in the NW are holding at around $23.00-$28.00 per pound, thats weather or not it's a 16OZ Lb or the same bottle with only 12 oz's !!.....
In my opinion, go for it ! It's been several years ( 20 ?) since it's been $10.00/lb.

Last week I bought a 8 lb jug from the gunclub for $100 + tax
And looking at PowderValley they list it for about the same

So if you and a few freinds all want powder ordering it online is cheaper now

If you can split the shipping& Hazmat

Depending on which store you get it at, it goes for $22 to $29 a pound. When there is a gun show, I have a vendor I use. I give him a heads-up call about two weeks before the show and he brings it in. The last 4# jug of Bullseye was just under$55 tax inclusive, just under $14 a pound this way.

The same 4# jug is $58 plus tax this year. This will make it just under $63 with tax, or just under $16 a pound.

What a difference a year makes.

I paid $26.95 today for a 1 lb. jar of IMR - 4227 powder. I only paid that price because I was out of it and needed some. I don`t use it that often so an 8 lb. keg isn`t a good idea for me. Seems like the prices keep inching higher.Robert

I bought some powder at the clubhouse 2 weeks ago. An 8lb keg of IMR3031 and 2 4lb'ers of 4759. With our ridiculous 9% sales tax, it came to $292 for 16lbs, or an average of $16.75/lb pre-tax. Our club sells primers, powder, and shotshell components to members at cost- Primers are running around $30/K.

If you can afford it, buy in bulk when you can-

Powder in the US is far to cheap. Yesterday I bought 4kgs of ADI AR2206H for $285. That is the same as H4895 ~ all made in Australia. This stuff is sent to the US and you guys can buy it heaps cheaper there. It would be just as cheap to buy there and get it sent back. The Australian $ and the US $ is about the same now.
