I aquired a cardboard can of AL-7 some time back and would like to know if it could be useful for cast loads in a bolt action .223 w/50gr. bullet ,7.62x39 w/150 gr. or 30-30 w/150-165 gr. bullet ?

It will probably work just fine. I haven't used it in any rifle rounds, but in revolver loads, it seems to be in the general region of Unique/Herco. Take that as a very loose guesstimate and load accordingly.

It's great for hotloads in the .38 special. So is Hs7 (WW571).
