I finally got around to trying several things at one time. First was my recent aquisition, a 1904 Portuguese 8mm Mauser; second was my group buy 8mm plinker mold, and third was Recluse's LLA/JPW/MS lube. I topped it all off with the "universal 10 grains of Unique" charge.
I shot this target at 50 yards without bags, ie... elbows on the bench. No leading and very mild recoil. I am really impressed with the sight picture this Portuguese-Vergueiro Mauser/Mannlicher has. It's really easy to aquire and use.
