I just received a few molds and a Lyman lube sizer and am new to casting. I have some extra boolits that I dont shoot that are moly coated. Can i melt these down and flux them to skim off the moly? or am I better off selling them and buy some lead.

Personally if you have alot of them I would try selling or trading them first. But if you don't want to go through that hassle you can melt them down and make want you want with them. You shouldn't have any problems melting them, maybe some smoke from lube but you can ignite it to get rid of the smoke.

I would try to trade them. If you don't want to mess with it , just melt em. No big deal.

I've melted moly coated bullet before, no issue, just dump them in & turn up the heat.
