Anybody have some favorite loads to share? Iam looking for some loads in the 1300-1500 fps range for my Marlin 1895 ss. Powders I have are H332, H4895,IMR4064 and AA2015. Just trying to get as much info as possiable, would like to seat these at the crimp groove but have tried similar bullet seated out longer. TIA:cbpour:

For that velocity range I would use a different powder than those you listed. They would all be good with thumper type loads in the 1500fps plus range.
For a load in the range you are looking for I like 2400. For a Marlin 1895 I would probably start aroun 18 gr and go up to 22 or so. Somewhere in that range should be good for 1300 to 1400 and good accuracy if all else is well
Don't have this exact boolit but 24 gr of 2400 works well with the 425 ranch dog for me.

Hey thanks for the reply! Yeh I have a lot of 2400 and have thought about trying it, just was hoping for something to fill the case a little more.

Problem is that filling the case will lead to loads that are likely to exceed your desired velocity. And that heavy a boolit at over 1500 is gonna be a real Bear to shoot.
I use lots of 2400 and never even consider a filler.
For a real light load try trail boss. It might not even break 1100 fps but it will be light recoiling. It is my favorite to use when learning to work action quickly.

I agree with what you say,2400 might be the answer. Starting loads of AA2015 & AA2230 are in the range also. I'm going to call Western Powder monday and see if I can get some more info. :cbpour:

I like to use 24grn with 2400. Its a great deer round
