I have an old (but good condition) Ideal mold #320366 and 320 sizer die. It's single cavity. I couldn't find it listed in my 46th edition lyman manual. It drops a pointed gaschecked boolit. Don't know the weight, I'm guessing 180??? any way if it helps out let me know and we'll work out a loan or ???

Mine weigh 184gr from straight WW, a little higher than 181gr the Lyman 3rd edition says they will. Everyone's alloy is just a bit different. They're .324, so most standard 8mm's should take to it somewhat. In my 48A Yugo that's never been fond of any cast, when shooting it sized .323, and 28gr of 3031 it'll get the best I've done so far, and that's 3.5" at 100yds. Chrony averages around 1800fps.. I've pushed it up to 32 gr, but the groups double. 29gr of BLc2 is just about a a duplicate and I get similar results.

It looks like a 8mm rounds we perceive should look like, but in actual practice looks can be deceiving. I've a feeling there's too much lead forward of the diving bands to make a stable boolit. Hollow pointing might help it. The money of doing that would be better spent on better moulds the way I see it unless you can do it yourself properly.
