Any of you fine people now where this pilgram could locate a Lyman # 473 top punch?
I've checked with Midway, Buffaloe Arms, and even with Lyman's site. No listing for this punch.

There has been lots of info posted about old Top punches and top punches in general.
I believe there is a member of this forum that machines top punches , hopefully one of the guys can show you the way.
I too need a couple top punches that are no longer available. I plan to turn out some blank holed top punches and fill the holes with Epoxy putty and close the punch over the boolit tip until it hardens up, trim away any excess and presto, should work....

Just be sure to wax the bullet before you put it in the epoxy. That way it'll come loose when you need it to.

i either use the jb weld method or chuck em in a drill press and cut the inside by hand, then jb weld over it. it works, it lasts, its cheap.

If you need a custom top punch, buckshot can make one for you...
