Okay so I was melting up some linotype/monotype letters that I had laying around. I was just using a propane torch to get them into one small ingot. What I figured out was do NOT bump a kennedy tool box when a primed 38 brass has a chance to fall into the ladle....YEP Luckly no burns-no schrapnel-just a sore finger where the primer hit it when it went off... I will now ALWAYS make sure that my casting area is clear.... No idea why that primed brass was even there...I shudder to think what would have happened if it was a live round..........

I have a dedicated casting area so there is no chance of anything untoward falling into a melt. cant imagine how inconvenient it must be having to double up activities in a single area.
Glad to hear you are okay though.
