I got my Lee BHN tester in the mail tonight and it took all of about 30 sec. to realize that I need a holder for the microscope. Here is a very quick way to make a holder.
I took a 4x4 piece of wood about 8 inches long and starting about 2 inches from the end, I cut a bunch of slices into the wood about 2 inches deep and continued cutting that 2 inch section till I got to the end. You can use a flat tip screwdriver to chisel out the slices. With the cutout section facing down, I used a 1/2 inch spade bit to drill a hole. I pushed through fast so it was a rough hole. The microscope will slide in easily but still be held by friction. This is not fancy but it worked and will work until I make something nicer. I can get very accurate reading this way. Just an idea.
