At the bottom of the barrel, where the piston fits, there is a screw that is painted/ locked . I believe this screw controls the amount of gas that forces the piston back.
The problem: The piston hitting the inertia block causes it to mushroom the inertia block where the rod goes through it. After a while the mushroom closes the hole enough to cause the inertia block not cycle the action. I have run a drill (proper size) to open it up taking the mushroom off. Every thing runs great for another 100 rnds or so.
My thought on the fix is that if I adjust the screw a bit at a time, the gas allowed through be cut down enough to stop the hard hitting piston, while still being able to cycle the action.
The question: Would anyone know which way to turn the screw? I would think that clockwise (turn in) would close the passage to lower the gas pressure.
Thanks
