:lol::lol::lol:

Ordered on a Thurs. shipped on Fri. and I got it on Mon. [smilie=2:
Drill spot is on the ball. It was shipped from Graingers( spelling )
out of N.J. I got the 20-40, it is about 2/3 the size of the stuff I had gotten from the reloading places. I don't think I would want it any smaller.
40 Pound bag for $21.and a little change to my door.
It came in a heavy brown bag like you would get animal feed in, the bag was in a card board box.
Powder valley wanted almost 40 bucks just for the shipping for the same amount. I think this is a heck of a deal. Just make sure you have a place to put it.
I did the first load of my 45 ACP brass in it last night, I had an old bottle of Dillon rapid polish that I added some New finish car polish to and after 3 hours it hurts my eyes to look at it. I recommend it and you can't beat the price with two sticks.

Yeah, that's about the best deal I've found.. Sand blast media that is obviously not sand :)

I do like the smaller grit 14-20 stuff, but for your use, the 20-40 is just fine. I tumble a lot of 223 and 22 lr for making into 223 bullets (eventually), so the smaller the better...

I believe 14-20 is larger than 20-40(0.0236 (http://www.drillspot.com/power-tools-and-metalworking/finishing-supplies/pneumatic-blasting-media/?spc=Nominal%20Dia.%20%28In.%29%20Min.%3D0.0236) to 0.0551 (http://www.drillspot.com/power-tools-and-metalworking/finishing-supplies/pneumatic-blasting-media/?spc=Nominal%20Dia.%20%28In.%29%20Max.%3D0.0551) vs. 0.0167 (http://www.drillspot.com/power-tools-and-metalworking/finishing-supplies/pneumatic-blasting-media/?spc=Nominal%20Dia.%20%28In.%29%20Min.%3D0.0167) to 0.0393 (http://www.drillspot.com/power-tools-and-metalworking/finishing-supplies/pneumatic-blasting-media/?spc=Nominal%20Dia.%20%28In.%29%20Max.%3D0.0393)). These sizes are from the Drillspot web site.

I have a bag of the 20-40 and it is very fine. Won't get stuck in flash holes.

Do you know how many times I resisted asking you what you were going to use a corn cob for? :bigsmyl2::bigsmyl2:

Sam

# 1, a place to store it

# 2, gallon freezer bags about 3/4 full hold the correct amount for the Midway
tumlers.

# 3, kinda like a busted drum, huh? :bigsmyl2:

I have no problems with media in flash holes even with small primer holes using the 20/40

I got my bag over a year ago and it is still sitting in the floor in the bag. By coincidence, I was coming out of the grocery this afternoon and had to detour around a masonry crew. I noticed they had about 15-20 mud buckets on their lift. I asked what they were going to do with them and the mason said most of them would be thrown away. He told me to come back in the morning and get as many as I wanted. Beats paying Home Depot or Lowe's.

I have a friend that raises hay. He gets chemicals in 3 gallon super duty jugs. I talked him out of blowing them all up testing bullets so I could use some for media storage.
They work great and are free to me.

That's two red, one white. Need to know if you are done with the job. ;-)
Also, anyone who would put them in water, doesn't live in the north country. You would have to wait until spring until they thawed out! GOTTA be an Alabama thing.

Check local grocery stores with a bakery. Buckets here are a buck a piece.

gray wolf, glad you like the 20/40 size. Its defintly the size to get so theres no plugging of flash holes or clogging of primer pockets.

As far as storing, I use the 2 1/2 gal bottle with a screw on lid kitty litter comes in, milk bottles will work fine also, any plastic bottle with a screw on air tight lid will/should work fine.

DrillSpot is THE place to go for this media and having it dropped shipped to your front door no charge can't be beat.

Plus one on the gallon size freezer bags, works great as does the plastic one gallon size laundry detergent jugs with large mouths.

Might add that I think the plastic milk jugs, detergent jugs, kitty liter jugs or any similar plastic jug would be much better then the zip lock bags as the mice do like this media also, they'll eat right thru the bags unless they're places in a mouse proof container of some sort.
