Did S&W ever make a revolver like the Mod. 1917 except in .45 Colt? I know Colt did & I'm not interested in them. Just S&W.... Help!

The Model 25-5 was HUGELY popular as a service sidearm with a couple local agencies in the early to mid-1980s. A 4-inch example was well-nigh impossible to find around here at that time. Many of them have .456"-.457" throats and .451" grooves, so 'caveat emptor' on the earlier S&W 45 Colts.

Don't be so picky. A 'Colt New Service in 45 Colt is one fine handgun!!!
