Anybody got suggestions on a single shot to rebore to 41 mag?

My first thought would be to get a MGM barrel for a Contender or Encore.
A larger Martini action would be pretty cool too. Are you thinking pistol or rifle? I started the thoughts along the idea of a rifle.

Handi 223 barrels would be your best bet. Usually cheaper than most. A new MGM barrel would set you back about the same $$$ too.

Rifle for sure. Longer the barrel the better.

if you are going to do a rifle why not go to 414 supermag? brass is a little more but a big increase in power.

Good morning
+1 on that 414 SM... you can figure on a good 300 + fps increase with a 265 grainer GC boolit over the 41 mag.
But then if you really want a 41 rebore that will get things going contact Jesse Reboring. He has a 41 Jes that is built on the 444 Marlin. Has the reamer and everything so production will not eat you alive.

The .223 NEF barrels are 1/2" at the muzzle?

Good Cheer:

Not to steal your thread but unless you are dead set on a 41 caliber this may be a economical alternative. In my internet cruising, I saw where Ellett Brother wholesaler had an exclusive run of H&R handirifes. A combo 35 Remington and 444 Marlin barrels in a camo stock for a little over $300.

You can have your dealer call them about the combo package. There number is
Ellett Brothers
267 Columbia Ave, Chapin, SC 29036 » Map (803) 345-3751

I will probably get one of these since I have a lot of 35 cal rifle and pistol molds as well as 44 pistol molds.

If this is of no interest please disregard.

Ruger still makes them, so does TC Contender, you surely can't dislike the TC!

Perhaps a 38-55 or a 30-30 work.

30-30 is an excellent cast bullet shooter. One can load from very mild to full factory velocity with cast and usually as well if not better accuracy as jacketed.
