does anyone know if the national park service allows people to mine there shooting ranges?

I stopped by the range after having to cut my morning hunt short. was able to get on the pistol range. picked up just off the ground 9lbs of bullets (could of been more I got tired of bending over). so many in one spot I made an hole about 3in in diameter, looked in the hole, about 10 or more bullets just deep enough I could not pull them out. seeing that I had to ask myself "how much is in there?"

I don't think the National Park System allows ranges. The Commonwealth of Virginia Game Management Areas are the only public ranges I know around here.

fill your holes so the park service cant bitch about you leaving holes.

leave no impact on the area

Our local state (OH) run range has an outfit come in and mine the backstops and this is a source of revenue for the state. It doesn't sound like your range does this so I can't imagine that they'd object.
