When I saw the title I was thinking 'ol Duke is gonna hang some second chance material or a good layer of aramid fiber .

............. Barbie has got to be right proud of that I bet

Duke,

how do you like that Drum Sander or Spindle Sander?

I've been looking at the same deal, If i'm not mistaken, that is Harbor freight Tools brand. I have gotten some tools that are just horrible from them and others that stand up well.

Best thing I ever got from them is a bullet proof rock tumbler that I roll my buckshot in. It never gets turned off.

I need one of those sanders and name brands are pretty pricey.

thanks

I was thinking several layers of chain mail draped over a Kevlar sheet! At least we were thinking along the same lines [smilie=l:

The valance rods are 2 in EMT and the curtain rods are 1-3/4's I believe. I can hang on the rod.

Harbor Freight for like $79.00 on sale sometimes.
I've been sanding 5-1/4 in Kiln Dryed Oak with it for the last 10 days. Check my table thread.

I appreciate your taking the time to respond. I will roll the dice with one of these.

Nice work by the way.

I forgot to follow up on this for the fellas that contacted me and were wondering what I was going to do for end caps to keep the curtain rods from sliding off the bracket.

Giant Drawer knobs via ebay.

I agree, it is nice to have the equipment... but it is useless unless you know how to use it. You sir, definitely know how to use it. I enjoyed scrolling down 'watching' the process.

Thanks - Randy

Ok, I assuming that you put a short dowel plug into the end for the drawer pulls.

Nice job!

Reading through this again, I got a big kick out of the "I DON'T THINK SO" comment, I've faced that dilemma before and if you try to do certain things on a shaper without a proper fence, it will make fingers disappear or cut you in half through the guts when the part grabs and kicks out at bullet speeds. I've used that very bead bit on 8/4 white oak with a 5 HP Grizzly shaper and a six-roller power feed and even then it can get out of hand. Oak loves to burn, too, so feed speed is critical (no news to those familiar with shapers). That jig you made is very well thought out.

Thanks Gear but it didn't really take much thinking.
