Got around to trying my CZ 375 H&H with CBs after previously firing 50 full powered J word reloads to fireform my brass (ouch!). Lyman 375449 FNGC, sized .377, weighing 283 grains, lube grooves smeared with JPW, seated out so as to not go below the case neck-2.57" OAL. CCI large rifle primers and 1.5 grains of polyester fiber. 33 grains of H4198 gave an average of 1693 fps, while 34 grains gave 1728 fps. Recoil in the heavy rifle was about the same as a 180 grain .308. Accuracy at 50 yards kept all the bullets holes touching (with the rifles iron sights), and to my surprise the point of impact was the same as the full power loads I had fired. The rifle showed no signs of leading after 50 rounds. All in all a very rewarding experience. Now on to my Ruger No 1 in 45-70.:-D

Good deal! Don't you love it when a plan comes together!

Nicely done. I have found 23.0 gr of Blue Dot to work good with that bullet too.

If you ever get the hankering to sling some serious lead I would be glad to provide you with some samples and some data I have worked up. I designed this bullet specifically for our CZ safari rifles. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showpost.php?p=1037030&postcount=42

That sounds good now 4296, I have been wanting a CZ 375 H&H for quite sometime to shoot lead in but can't seem to let go of the moola.
