I have had a Pedersoli Tryon .50 cal with a double set trigger for about 8 years. It shot really well at 50 yards but I could never get it to shoot at 100,untill Sunday. After a lot of trial and error with different powders and patches I have just about got it right.

.490 round ball pure lead
.010 patch Spit lube
60 gn medium powder (this rifle dont like swiss)
wipe 1 wet patch and 1 dry patch between shots

This combination got me a 4 inch group shot off cross sticks.

Just thought i would share this.

All the best Andy

Seems like a thin patch, but the ball size is common.

you might try a fibre wad .030 or .060, between powder and patch. Really helped my T/C Hawken's accuracy at 100 yes.

Greetings
Not knowing what you have tried previously it is always good to find a working combination.
It would help to know the twist of that barrel. If it is faster than 1-40 or so you may have to use swaged balls or near perfect cast balls carefull loaded with the sprue mark dead center up.
Also the patch ... is this a tight fitting combo ? Is this a Shallow groove barrel ? All my patch ball combos I use a short starter as they fit snugly.
