Folks,
I'm considering a small buy from rotometals–couple pounds of tin and a couple ingots of their superhard (70/30 lead/antimony). My local lead supply will consist of range lead, scrap pure lead and whatever wheel weights I can get my hands on. I welcome any replies from folks who have used this stuff, or who can suggest other options to harden up the melt.

Save money on shipping and buy 10 pounds of tin and 50 pounds of superhard.
Don't be shy , its an investment.
That will be enough to turn 500 pounds of pure lead into some pretty good alloy like 2-3-95,
