This deserves to be HERE, on the Shooters.com forum, lest we ever, ever forget. . .

This is one incredible Marine, and he STUNS the crowd.

I had to blink away some tears at the end. I'm just getting old, I reckon, and more emotional. Either that, or it's patriots like this incredible Marine that rekindle the pride I once had for serving in the military.

There are actually 4 verses but that would interfere with airtime at football games and such so the last 3 are mostly forgotten.
They cut it to only 1 verse just to appease those who expect it and to not annoy those who just want to get on with it.

My Wife (RedFoxy) and I were standing to Luis's left. At the end, they pan left but we were 1 row in back of the camera man. Nearer the stage.

This was at the Douglasville Ga. Tea Party Rally.

No, I don't know Luis, nor do I know how to contact him.

You should have been there.

By Francis Scott Key 1814

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Wow, just Wow!

Not only does he strike an awesome point, but his singing skills are top-notch, too. Our Star Spangled Banner is one of the more difficult songs to sing, and he nailed it from lowest note to highest.

Great job and excellent point. A man easy to admire.

That's the kind of pride, honor, and patriotism I would expect from a man worthy to be our president. Mr. Obama isn't fit to shake that man's hand.

Twotrees, You were very lucky to have been there. Not a former Marine but US ARMY 4TH ID 1965-1967. My cheeks were very wet from watching that video and it has been stored. Thanks Much for it. I'm sorry but I have always felt that if you did not serve this country then you should not be able to led it. It sickens me to see a solider salute the president. My thoughts are that salute is a sign of honor and respect.

Yep, the faucet is flowing after that!

Just when I get down and think we are lost and will never recover, something like this comes along to renew my faith that we can turn this runaway train around. There are still many people left with common sense and common beliefs and we can make a difference.

Thanks for sharing! Got to find a tissue!
