I've read all I can find about casting pure lead and hardness of alloys, and can't find any good info about how to make lead easier to cast fully filled out balls.
I'm thinking from extrapolation that adding 1% or less of tin to lead would not affect the hardness to any appreciable degree, and that it would make mold fill out much easier.
Anyone have thoughts on this? Should I just try for more heat and stick with pure lead? My rifle shoots pure lead round balls great, so I don't want to affect hardness if possible.
