A gift rifle!

My good friend came to visit yesterday. First time we've been able to get together in 7-8 years anyway. He and the Mrs are off to Florida soon for the winter and permanently when their home sells. In anticipation of the move into their 5th wheel camper, they decided to lighten their "load" a bit by giving me a nice little Remington 514!

My parents neighbor in Michigan has a 514. I would go over to his house all the time when I was little and we would shoot squirrels with that little 514. Junior is now in his late 70's, about 5 years ago I took the 514 into my gunsmith and had him drill and tap it for a scope mount.....he is still shooting squirrel off his bird feeder with it.

That's the kind of gift that mean a lot - and those are the kind of guns that you'll always treasure even if they're nothing special to anyone else. Congratulations to you Bret for acquiring such a special little rifle, and best wishes to your friends on their move to Florida.
