Anyone have both? Is the meplat smaller on the 200 grain bullet? Would someone mind measuring the meplat, nose to crimp and oal of these two designs for me? I've never heard of any leading problems with these bullets. Just how small are the lube grooves?

Thanks,

David

I have both. The meplat is exactly the same, the 250 bullet is just longer. The lube groove are pretty small, as with most LEE bullets. I can get some measurements for you tomorrow, it's one in the morning and I just finished a big batch of bullets and am tired now. I use both of them in my 45 Colts, molycoated so I don't care about the lube groove.

.............The Lee 452-255RF did so well in my Ruger Vaquero I went and bought the 6 holer mould. I don'thave the 200gr design to compare it to though. I've only shot it to 910 fps with Javalina 50-50 lube and there was no leading. Alloy was WW and scrap. Probably about 10-12 bhn.
