View Full Version : Smith Bodyguard 380
I'm considering buying one of these for my wife. I'd be interested in any comments about this relatively new personal protection firearm.
Thanks,
Shuz

I have not used one but if you go on the Smith & Wesson forum they are brought up quite a bit...alot of mixed emotions about it since it is a new production gun. Hope this helps.
I saw one this morning for $495, had a rough heavy trigger. The lazer is nice.

I've handled and dry fired one. Size is great. Built in laser is wonderful. Overall layout for a carry gun is delightful. The trigger stinks. Consarn it S&W why didn't you put a decent trigger on the great concept gun? I know that heavy trigger pulls are "safer" in terms of avoiding accidental discharge but missing the target with one's defense gun is hardly safe. If the triggers are all like the one I handled many of the targeted consumers are going to have serious problems.

I saw one the other day and liked the way the gun felt and handled. I'd prefer to shoot one before dropping that much on a new one, I'll probably wait to see what the gun rags have to say about it first.
