Today I was bored and had an idea, warm up some JPW and throw in some BAC. I only warmed it up enough to melt the two together. after it cooled I added enough paint thinner to get the consistency to resemble the 45/45/10 that I have been using.

I lubed up some Lee TL 230 gr RN and am waiting for them to dry up. It seems to fill in the grooves really well compared to the 45/45/10. Hopefully I can get out to try it this weekend.

if you swirl the warmed up mix it will fill the grooves and coat the boolit.
i use a similar mix on my 25-20 pb boolits in my 92 and it works right nicely.
it does take some time to dry.

Stupid question: what is BAC?

BAC = Beeswax, Alox & Carnauba which is short for a mixture of Lar45's 50/50 and Carnauba Red.

Check it out here, Lar is one of us and an awesome guy who sells awesome products for an awesome price.

All of larsen's lubes are superb. I have found that the BAC lube is a wonderful all around lube. Rifle and pistol boolits. Been using it for several years now. It is however, more sticky than his 2500+ lube.

i like two sticks 50-50 and one carnuba red with a little lanolin as an all around lube.

So, the OP wants to add more Carnauba to a mixture of Beeswax, Alox & Carnauba?
Is the Alox referenced that Alox used in LLA or the Alox used in the NRA 50:50 Beeswax and Alox?

I can't figure out the point either. If you are wanting to dip lube just melt the BAC and do it, nothing is to be gained by adding JPW.

All of my molds are for Lee TL boolits. I tried dipping them in melted BAC and it made a big sticky mess. I liked the results though(less smoke and leading). I wanted to get the BAC on the boolits in a TL fashion.
I tried out the lube yesterday but it wasn't any better than the 45/45/10 that I have been using.

I like this thread!
1. An idea.
2. Put idea to use.
3. Input form forum members (no one critisized idea or OP).
4. Tested idea.
5. Reported results.

No need for me to try it. Thanks ItZaLLgood...

I think that I will keep experimenting here and there with this idea. It did dry up up pretty fast, bout an hour and it was clearer looking that the 45/45/10. We all know that good looking boolits shoot better. :-D

I assume that, like most boolit casters, you polish all your bullets with a soft clothe followed by a good waxing to bring out the luster and shine. this, along with mirror-finished brass has always produced the tightest groups and the deadest game. I have thought about using rhodium for plating the bullet and case for the utmost shine and accuracy.

I thought I was the only one that polished boolits and the cases they ride in.. ;)

Heck no - not the only one. I polish cases to a bright shine just because I like 'em to look pretty - er, I mean to improve feeding reliability. ;) I've been known to send boolits on a ride through the corn cob too..
