for bp or smokeless

My friend gave me a box of maybe 500 of these. He knows I shoot bp. Are the lube grooves too shallow for bp? Are these bullets for smokeless?

just my opinion, but they look smokeless. measure their diamater and weight. see if the are light enough to buy sabots and shoot. if not, find someone with that caliber weapon and trade em off. probably gonna be too hard to remelt for bp.

They look like the Lee 457/340. Definitely smokeless, but could work depending on the conditions. Remember you can always add a cookie too.

Yup---forgot about cookies. I never had to use them in my roller.
