Ready to load for my CZ 375 with the Lyman 2660449. My boolits weigh 286 grains gas checked. I am looking to run them at 1600 fps. Has anyone worked with this boolit/cartridge-I would appreciate some suggestions.

I've done some pretty extensive work with that rifle. Off the top of my head 20-23.0gr of blue dot will get you in the neighborhood of 1600 FPS.

This bullet I designed specifically for the CZ rifles. Preliminary calculations indicate 2100-2200 FPS is attainable within SAAMI pressures.

Suggest you start at 30 gr 5744 and work up. That load pushes my 275 gr 375449 right at 1600 fps out of my 24" barreled M70.

Let us know what your results are. [smilie=w: I'm looking at doing the same thing only a little faster.

I use the old 375296 (essentially the same slug, 283 grains of wheel weights) at 2053fps average out of a 375x45-70. The powder capacity on that 375H&H oughta be great!

375 x 45/70 = 38/56 No?

I'm shooting 39 gr of 3031 behind 375449. I haven't chrono'd it yet. I expect around 1800 fps.

I use 35 grains of IMR 4198 with the Lyman 375449. Vel is 1800 fps. Most accurate cast bullet load I have ever shot. Rifle is TC pro hunter 28" barrel

Check castpics/Articles by members/Cast in the .375 H & H for some loads. My Number 1 handles a 375296HP pretty well as well as a Saeco #373./beagle
