I just had an inquiry about a mold from South Africa. Does anyone know if a mold would be a restricted import to there. I couldn't find anything on the SA business sight.

"Import permits are required only for specific categories of goods and are obtainable from the Director of Import and Export. Importers must possess an import permit prior to the date of shipment. Failure to produce a required permit could result in the imposition of penalties. A summary of main import regulations are:

Certain goods imported into South Africa require an import permit, which may be obtained from the Director of Imports and Exports Control.
The list of goods requiring import permits is specified each year in the annual Import Control Program.
Permits are valid for imports from any country. "

" 9. Who is the Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) in South Africa?
The Senior Commercial Officer is Mr. Daniel Harris, who is located in Johannesburg (Tel: 27-11-331-3937) "

Hope this helps.

It's the responsibility of the importer to acquire any import permits for South Africa. Have ypur customer contact SARS and inquire.

You are responsible only for the doing the proper export documents from the U.S.

The only time I had someone from South Africa order a mold, he had me send it to a reshipment company in Florida for him. I guess the mail is not that secure in South Africa.
