with the rate of twist helping long [heavy] bullets BUT also not good for minor flaws espically in cast bullets I'm wondering what results {accucary} you'll with 1-8 Whisper AR's or other rifles are getting out to 200 yds ???

I never did much paper work with my upper when I had it. However, it was easy to dust off red squirrels out to 100yds and rabbits at 200yd were a piece of cake. Note that these were not point blank but rather dialing in the scope turrets based on a lasered range.

Mostly the lyman 190gr silhouette. I have samples if you want. I was cranking them out at about 1400fps.

Crawfobj,
Will do, my test platform is a 1-8 twist 15" Contender bbl. in 30 Reece [30x 38 Spl.] 1 +- less useable gn. capasity than a 300 whisper.

Wayne,

I learn something new every time I'm on this board. Never even heard of someone necking 38spl to .30, but it does sound like fun.

I loaded up my first test rounds for my M1S whisper upper over the weekend. Now if I can ever get away from work long enough to actually run some across the chronograph, I'd be in good shape.

Pictures are a few 30 Reece and heavy 30's, so far nothing has shot very well, not sure if it's the 1-8 twist or ??? I Est. the Vel. to be between 1050 & 1200 FPS on all loads.
Next weel the testing will include a 1-10 30 Herrett bbl.
other cases are 22 Hornet and 32-20, bullets L to R Saeco 301, 311365, 311299
Ain't it always something
