Hi.

Where one cannot get actual boolit or slug lube to buy: what other household thing can one use? Regular car Carnauba Wax?

What other ideas or suggestions?

Maybe Johnsons Paste wax? Works on pistol bullets for me

Yes, you can use regular car wax. The stuff that comes in a round container and is a cake of wax not a liquid is best. Apply liberally to the bearing surface of the slug by taking the little car wax application sponge in the container cap permeated with wax and rolling the slug back and forth on top of it.

Takes a while doing them that way one at a time but it does work. JPW based or similar tumble lube type mixes work best for doing large batches.

Also, at least in America their are a few different corrosion inhibitor products that come in spray cans like spray paint that contain a brown sticky substance that is basically the same thing as alox and it works very well as a slug lubricant and is very quick and easy to apply (just like spray paint from a spray paint can) but it is expensive compared to the other options as far as how much it costs and how many slugs it does and it never completely dries and always stays a little gooey. If you can find something similar were you are that would work too - it is often used on marine wiring connections so if you know anyone who works on wiring on ships you could talk to them and see if you have something similar available in your country.
