Anyone know of a source for some ammo chambered in 338-378 KT for use in a Champlin 338-378 KT.?
Or for empty brass and dies, or maybe some used case forming dies?

Yes, I did find that one, Greg. But a day late and dollar short. And too bad as that would have set it up just right. The rifle is not actually mine, but was inherited by a friend from his Grandfather. Expensive shooting, but not your average weekend plinker for sure.

I shoot a 358 Norma Mag and I know that one burns more powder than mine. It would be a stomper on both ends but oddly enough we all seem to like it!! There is a word for that that starts with an M but I can't quite remember what it is. :bigsmyl2:

The .338-378 KT was basically a 378 Weatherby case shortened 1/4" and necked down to 338. I do not know if they kept the Weatherby radius on the shoulder and neck junction or not.

For cases you can use the .378 Wby, (obvious), or I would guess you could use any of the other large Weatherby cases like the .416, .460, or the .30-378 or .338-378.

The actual .338-378 KT dies are probably pretty expensive. I would compare cartridge drawings to see if the .338-378 dies could be shortened enough to work, since they are now somewhat common (read less expensive).

One other thing. If you use .338-378 Weatherby brass for the parent case, I would very clearly mark the box that it contained the .338-378 KT not the factory Wby round.
