Just put one in my .444 Marlin. Wow, what a difference.

Do they have a website and if so how-a-bouta link? Tell us a little more about the new trigger.

Right now, Midway has the trigger on sale.

My 444 had the usual Marlin trigger. Floppy, lots of creep, and hard.

The Wild West trigger eliminates the flop and mine has a pull of about 3 lbs and is crisp.

I don't believe I would order directly from Wild West. I would go with Midway or Cabelas.

I bought one of those happy triggers for my 1895G. I couldn't be happier. It went in in <30 mins with no gunsmith and is everything its touted to be. It's worth the 90 bucks.

My buddy couldn't afford one so just stoned off the tip of his 336 trigger and its almost as good but still left the trigger flop. He figured if he botched it he'd have an excuse for the wife to buy a real one! It passed the bang the butt on the ground test (and didn't go FA! sic).

Saw triggers for sale in new Midway ad but not Happy Trigger. What page is it on?

I guess they're not calling it a happy trigger kit anymore. This is the one:

Wild West Guns Trigger Marlin 336, 444, 1894, 1895 Blue

A precision EDM sear and trigger that is hand-polished to produce a crisp, clean 2 to 3 lb trigger on Marlin 336, 444, 1894 and 1895 rifles. Design eliminates the infamous Marlin trigger flop. Gunsmith fitting required.

I think the gunsmith fitting sentence is Lawyer talk. It is easy to put it in.

Unfortunately, they don't ship with instructions. If you do a google search on disassembly for the Marlin, or have one of those exploded drawings books, you will be all set. You are right in my neck of the woods, where you from?

Does anyone happen to know if this trigger will fit the Model 36, which was the immediate fore-runner to the 336? Might be nice to have, if it should fit. I may have to call WWG for a definitive answer.

Sorry Bruce, can't help on that one.
