Empty promises?

Look at the White House, how many more empty promises do you need? I doubt you have room to store that many.

You can loob groove every boolit on earth. Heck, I will be buying only smooth sided moulds as it will be far easier, and cheaper, to just add your loob grooves to the finished boolit.

Can you provide them pre-filled with a loob of my choice?

Due to our local SW Montana Wind I can ship these for little cost to the NE. We rarely have to shovel snow as the wind moves it somewhere else. I am wondering if the lube grooves from shot groups in the Southern Hemisphere can be installed in the Northern hemisphere cartridges to prevent over spinning them. What would be the proper ration? 1-1 or 6-7?

nhrifle
12-15-2013, 12:59 AM
That won't work because lube grooves launched south of the border, if installed up here, would cause terrific counter-rotational inertia dampening forces on the projectile with one of two outcomes: either it will nullify the effects of rifling and cause boolits to plummet immediately to Earth, or will achieve negative rotational counter spin and thusly unscrew the barrel from the unsuspecting firearm.

Col4570

There was a movement to go over to metric but it was met with opposition so now manufacturers give Imperial and metric sizes.I am 77 and brought up during my apprenticeship on Feet and Inches,Thousands of an Inch,Pounds and Ounces and Drams for my Powder.I still continue to measure in Imperial but do sometimes revert to Metric.During a spell working in the USA it was refreshing to see that you still used the traditional Measurements.

I've read on here that metric grooves are almost MANDATORY if you want to get any type of high velocity accuracy out of a 6.5x55.

I think the reasoning is, if you are getting 10" groups at 100yds, then switching to a metric grooved boolit will automatically tighten them up to 10mm at 100m

a far better group...

oh, this ONLY applies IF the rifling is also metric... so many turns in a meter!

otherswise you have to move your target closer, using the 100yd mark

He, he. Somebody said "resurrection".

The pastor had called all of the little children to the front of the church, dressed in their cute Easter outfits and had them sit around him. He said "Today is Easter and you all look so handsome and beautiful.Today we're going to talk about the resurrection. Does anyone know what the resurrection is?"
One little boy raised his hand and the pastor said "Please tell us what the resurrection is."
The boy, proud that he knew the answer, stood and said in a clear loud voice "When you get a resurrection lasting more than four hours, you gotta call the doctor!"
It took a solid ten minutes before the pastor could speak and there was so much laughter going on that his sermon was probably forgotten ... but that child's voice won't be.
