I've wondered why I seldom see loads listed with 269/110 with cast boolits? I do have one 12.5 in a 38 spl case and a 358156 in the bottom groove that is a great load. Is it that I'm just not looking in the right places? This is a load for 357.

I use a lot of 296 with my 44 and 357 mag loads.

Probably because 296 / H110 works best at maximun loads with magnum primers. Consequently it's not very cost effective except for FULL HOUSE loads. I've tried it in my 44 Mags as well as 45 LC. Never did see the exceptional accuracy everyone CROWS about! I'll stick to 2400, THANK YOU!! IMO it's more versatile, economical, and more suitable for rifles and cast to boot.

I've used a fair amount of h110 over the years, but only in max type loads. And I shoot many, many more lower level loads than I do full house loads.
It just isn't spoken of a lot here but it hardly means it isn't being used. They are specialty powders, not general use powders.

I use W296 in fullmag pistol and 30 carbine loads.

Use 12.5 gr. W296 in modern Marlin 1894 carbine with 115 gr. 311316.
Use 12.5 gr. W296 with Lee 120 gr. in .30 M-1 carbine.
I'll have to give it a try in .256 Win. Mag.

I use 296/H110 with cast for my heavy loads in 357 and 44 mag. Use jacketed data for boolits of the same weight....dale
