Are you taking a new or older one and what caliber? Cabelas had them made by more than one different manufacturer over the years.

zorro, it can be done. but it might be time consuming." IF" you had a breach a gunsmith can cut the dove tail for the under lug and drill and tap for the under rib and ferrals. Or you can do the work yourself if you have the time and skill.
In a T-C there is enough of a market to have drop in barrels and breaches avatable on the market. When I find a rifle to work up I have the avantage of taking it to Friendship, buying the parts and have the aromery do the work.

Green Mountain should be able to fix you up. Check their site out and then give them a call. Yeah for a 50 cal the 1/66 or 1/72 should shoot RB good. I have a 1/60 and it is real accurate, killed a plenty of deer with it before VA made inlines legal. 10

Might double check. Some of these barrels were designed to fit a variety of different guns. Are you sure you really need one. I ahve seen some pretty good results out of those "comprimise" barrels.
