My club does not allow magnum handload in our basement range.
I got the above mold and made about 600 of them. My plan was to them in 44 sp cases for a 50 ft load.
Anybody tried these things? I have a 240 gr Rapine WC mold but why waste the lead and jeut shoot 245gr Keith.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not those little guys, but a jillion of GLL's group buy LEE 200 grain wadcutter and almost as many of Blammer's clone of 429352 from OLD WEST BULLET MOLDS.

Use cowboy action data from Hodgdon, etc for a starting point. I size to .431+ for an assortment of VAQUEROS and BLACKHAWKS. A full wadcutter in either 44 or 45 makes some impressive marks on your targets.

A four cavity went for $100+ on eBay last weekend.

They should work fine if they fit right. A little Bullseye or Unique should pop the little fellers out there just fine. I have the same mould, haven't done anything with it yet.

I have the Lee 208 WC, and have tried it in 44 Spl some this summer. While I haven't done a whole lot with it, and nothing super light, it seems to like Win 231 and DuPont/IMR PB in the 800-850 fps range. Red Dot showed some promise, and I need to look at it again.
The only really light load I tried was 3.0 grains of Bullseye, which chrono'd a mild 663 fps, but wasn't all that impressive at the target. OK, but not great.

I use the Group Buy 200 gr W/C. 4.0 grs of Red Dot behind the W/C works fine for target work (including indoors and outdoors) in the .44 Special case.

I got a 429348 mold this year--using 6.0 grains of Bullseye I get 963 FPS MV in my model 24...1,063 in a Ruger Superblackhawk. Very accurate....

For reference here is the 200gr DEWC designed by 45 2.1 I ran as a 6-cavity Group Buy.
