got lots of good help with my last question so here goes: buffalo arms lists brass/dies for swiss vetterli in two sizes-10.4x38 and 10.4x42. any way to tell from markings as to which i have? thanks for listenin' and have a good'en neighbors, bubba.

Assuming you have a Swiss Vetterli;

x38 is the standard length brass.

x42 is the one you want if you are going to use the 310 grain lee 44 mag bullet

shoulda specified. yeh it's swiss. rimfire now but hope to rectify that this winter and get it where it'll say "bang" and was curious of which brass i'd need. thanks rich. have a good'en friend, bubba.

348 winchester can be formed. 8mm Lebel too, I saw some done with 45-70, but they scared me.

When I had mine I used Lee 44 mag dies to form and load for it, but I am exceedingly cheap.

I think Lee is making dies now, no sense spending all that money with those other guys when Midway is good enough.

Maybe this forum can help www.swissrifles.com I think they are mainly Schmidt Rubin focus though.
