Just thought I would post this for those that might be interested in mounting a bipod on thier 460 or 500. no adaptor needed, tried my caldwell and harris bipod and both worked perfect.
Should come in handy for those long range shots.

Is it clamped to the tapered underlug ?

The PC 500 has a tapered underlug with a hole pre drilled for the Uncle Mikes swivels that come from the factory, The attachment points from the bipods fit in these holes perfect. and the uncle mikes swivel hooks up to a set of holes under the bipod.

Each to his own, but to me if you want to go to that extent why not just build a rifle?

Now don't think I'm knocking you, if this is what you like, Awesome!

That's a crew-served weapon!! What does it weigh if I may ask?

Dang!! Wish there was a provision for a bi-pod on my 6.5 500. People just don't seem to realize how nice it is to hunt without lugging an unwieldy rifle around.

I hunt frequently in high and steep rim rock country where you need your hands available to climb safely. That's where the really big bulls, bucks and bear in my area hang out. A very flat shooting, long barreled 500 with a bi-pod and carried in an appropriate shoulder holster would be the ticket.

Gonna have to look into a longer barreled 500 now!! Thanks for the idea, Jack!!

Looks kind of tall. Might be better with the shorter Harris.

I agree. NOT knocking the OP, but commenting in general on the Big Bore/Long barreled phenomenon.

Interesting. An eighteen inch revolver is more difficult to do anything with than a four foot rifle is.
