I have a model 96 Swedish Mauser that has a barrel that is .265" groove diameter; which one of the Lyman moulds would be best for that diameter, the 2660469 or the 2660673? If you have any other suggestions I would be open to them as well. I will be shooting for pratice at 200 yards. I pland to use WW.
Thanks for your help,
Owen

They are both super dooper. I've shot both but I cast only 266673 at the moment. I get exemplary accuracy with 13.2 grs 2400.

Yap both of thoes lyman #s are good but don't overlook Saeco 264, my 96 shoots it a little bit better than the lymans.
I also have the lee custom 6 cav that was made a few years ago, a copy of 266469 with a small flat point and as cast .268-.269Ø. I can't get it to shoot worth a ****!!!

Would you be interested in selling it?

BaBore's 140 gr works very well in 3 of my swede's, all at 0.266 groove.

Owen, I have a bunch of 266673s cast from air-cooled wheel weights, sized .266", checked, and lubed. I can't shoot them in my guns without leading, as my bores are around .2665". If you'd like to try them in your gun before you buy a mould you are welcome to them for the postage, if you want I'll go see how many I have. Mould might be for sale too, if you like them, but it has one bad cavity.

I have the 266469. I use 16 grns 4198 with LLA and Dacron filler. Shoots great. Sized at 265, shoots just under 1600 fps.
