Do any of you out there in cast boolit land know if the RCBS JR press was ever made of cast steel?

Glen--
I had an RCBS Jr. from the late 1970's that had to be composed of cast iron, if not cast steel--just owing to its weight.

It's cast iron. Cast steel would be five times the cost.

Still use mine for load development. I bought it in High School in 1972 and still going strong. Cast iron.

I have one that my father bought in 1973. It is all I use to reload on. It is cast iron.
Cast iron. I have two -- '68 and '75 -- they are all I use.

Cast Iron, 1967 RCBS began using cast iron for ALL the presses. The A2 had a slight redesign to assure it had the same strength as its cast steel cousins.

Cast iron is then. Thanks guys. I am amazed at the knowledge on this site. Just ask the question and up pops the answer. Where were all you brains when I was in math class?
