I just came by a quantity of autobody lead filler. The 1/4 x 3/8 x 12" sticks are marked "National Lead Co. 1513". Anybody know exactly what it is? I tried Googling this and came up empty. Looks like the company is long gone. The seller said it was pure lead, but I highly suspect is has a pretty good tin content. Searching the forum turned up anywhere from 80/20 Pb-Sn to 50/50.

What form is it in? Pigs or sticks?

I have an almost full 5gallon bucket of 1ftX .410 in X .280 in sticks and they appear rather close to pure lead. they have "NL 2-5/8%" stamped in them. I was told it was autobody lead when it was given to me by some of my kin. It is very bendable but I am not 100% sure what they are.

Usually it is 30/70 tin/lead. If it is used body solder and was applied correctly, it will have more tin and some zinc in it from the tinning butter used in the application process.

It's a good source of tin.

what yarro said.
i bend mine and guess based on a known sample.
but 30/70 seems the norm.
