Hello, I am new to casting bullets and I have been using wheel weights for my cast bullets, but i recently came across these lead ballasts and i was wondering if they are any good for bullets.

Thank you in advance for your help.

They will work great. With the help of another C.B. forum member we smelted a 1400 lb sailboat keel and I use that 50/50 with w.w.'s to cast bullets. If you can score more, get it.

Welcome to Cast Boolits sharab85,

This probably isn't what you want to hear. A boat Mfg will use about anything he can get that will melt and pour into molds that fit his hull. It could be anything. A word of caution, do not just melt it all together with known good alloy. Melt some by itself and cast some bullets with it to see if casts ok. This way if there is anything in it that prevents casting good bullets you won't waste your known good alloy.
