I recently acquired a Daisy Legacy Model 2202 in .22lr. I am trying to find out about it. I know that it takes 10/22 mags, but I dont know how to take it down or get extra mags for it, or if it will damage it to use 10/22 mags. Any info will be greatly appreiated!!

the daisy legacy rifles were made about 1979-82. i have both the semi auto and the multishot bolt gun. the semi's magazine is like the 10-22 but not interchangable, good luck finding it as they are scarce, took me over 3 years to find a spare. the rifle came as a wood stock or adjustable synthitic stock. the trigger group was removable to secure it from mis use. there was also a single shot and a version sold under brand name of [wallmart or kmart??]. daisy did not have atf rights to mfg "real guns" so they shut down production much like the VL problems of the late '60's.
i am pulling this from memery so may have some mixup but the basics are there.
good luck with the gun, just know that daisy has NO parts and other sorces are scarce.

A few years back I bought one from a buddy that needed gas money. It was in rough shape, but for $20 who was I to complain. I found 2 additional magazines at a gun shop in Michigan hanging on the peg hook in the corner of the top row. They had about an inch of dust on the package. I think I got them for $4 each.
