I have a Rossi 357m serial No. K004429, (See Pic) and I want to find some info about when it was made. It's got a fancy reciever in H/chrome or nickel and covered in scroll work, but there's nothing written anywhere as to commemorations or the like. No 'Puma' either Just "Amadeo Rossi"+"Model 92 SRC"+ ".38SPL & .357MAG".
Just wondering if any one here would have any idea?

Wish I could help. If mine looked that good I'd not have spent the last 25??30 years complaining about that ugly cat cast into the side of the receiver!!
I really like your gun.

The number on mine is K044950. It is a saddle ring carbine in 38/357. Marked same as yours.
No safety on the bolt, riveted rear sight, front blade part of the front band.
I am delighted that the serial number is where it is supposed to be on the lower front bottom of the receiver. Some I have seen had the serial stamped on the side of the receiver. I could do without the saddle ring. I am also tickeled that this gun has really decent wood and fit. I have owned several dozen original Winchester 92 rifles and carbines and this Rossi seems to be equal in quality to the best of them. I have seen a bunch of the rossi's that in some way were marked or dolled up in such a way as to ruin them for me. I like yours.
I would have jumped on the one you have and be proud to have and shoot it.
I have a Rossi 92 in .44 magnum that has a 24" octagon barrel and a crescent butplate. Nice wood also. My carbine would seem to be forty thousand later than yours and I thought mine was early. Thanks for the show and tell.
