On 9-9-2010 the world lost one of it's best. My father passed away from complications of his illness at 2300 that night. He was my friend, mentor, confidant, and above all else a great father. He taught me everything I needed to know about getting through this world. When he found out my profession of choice, he took 23 years of experience and poured it into me.
He served 3 tours in Vietnam, gave 23 years of devoted service to this nation, sailed almost every ocean on this planet, was a father to 3 children, and loved only 1 woman.
What years of warfare and hardship failed to do, cancer accomplished with fervor. We will miss him and never forget all he did for us........Take care brother....See ya on the side.....
AM13, he lives on in your memory, your attitudes, and your behavior.
My condolences.

No finer testament to a mans life than something like what you posted. The pain will dull in time, hang in there.

Joel,
I know how you feel. I lost my father last month August 12. He was my best friend. He survived D-Day but could not beat cancer. He lived a full life, and now is not suffering. My thoughts and prayer are with you, God bless.

My heart felt condolences to you and your family Joel. You are a testament to how good a man your father was, with that being said by your character and fortitude you honor him forever.

The finest testiment to ones life is what he leaves behind and how he is remembered. Your father raised three fine children, had but one wife and served his country with heart and soul. He is now at "the" final formation waiting for the final taps to be played. RIP

What was written by you above is one of the best things that anybody can hope to leave behind. You cannot take it with you, but look what your ol man left behind in you and yours............ That simply cannot be topped.
I wish you and yours the best and you have my deepest sympathies.
