Hello
I have a chance on purchasing what is advertized as a COLEMAN FUEL UPRIGHT LEAD FURNACE. It looks like one of those old hand pump up furnaces.
Anyone have any experence with them?
I am told that it still works.
What would I expect to fail on it?
Pricing?

Thanks for any info

How big is it?

This sounds to me like a plumbers furnace. I have no experience with one; but I would guess you might need to replace the leather gasket in the pump, eventually.

No knowledge on the specific model, but used with proper caution a plumbers furnace is a smelters dream. Too hot for regular casting.

Go to the sticky above, 'this old pot', and you'll find a lot of information about the old plumber's lead furnaces. Might even learn what you are asking questions about.
