Since I found the stash of Lyman 311334 bullets that I've had cast for who knows how many years . I've been plotting to run them in the Krag and see what happens . Lotsa nose there to ride on the lands , but at least the bullet nose wouldn't fit into the muzzle without forcing it .
I loaded a round with sixteen grains of 2400 and chambered it , then extracted it to see if it engraved on anything ..... nope . Shot some with sixteen grains and some of seventeen grains . Seems like seventeen works a little better , I'll hafta try again and see .
I'm sure there are better bullets to use and eventually I'll get to some of them . I kinda hope this works out OK 'cause I just found a 311332 four cavity mold that might clean up and be usable [smilie=1:
