What is the best lubricant you have found for the job of case REFORMING in a standard rifle resizing die?
I need to REFORM 284 Winchester brass into 7.5x55 Swiss.
Thanks...

Imperial wax, comes in a little round tin, kinda like a snuff box. It is in a cake form and I just rub my finger one the cake and give each case a rub with the finger as it goes into the shellholder. I think it is called Imperial sizing die wax, not sure hwo carries it now.

Edited to add:

Looks like Redding bought them; Graf's has it in 1 oz tins for $3.79 and 2 oz for 5.59. That is with the C&R discount so might be a tad higher if you don't have a FFL.

Bull Shop Bull Size !!! I used Imperial for many years but no more.
$2.25 a can and it last a loooooong time. Check the thread I think it was on swapping and selling where I did some radicle resizing.

Bullshops stuff works very well. What you need for the 284 Win to 7.5 Swiss is a tapered exander. The hardest part, and it isn't hard to do, is expanding the neck. RCBS offers one as do several others reloading die suppliers.

A little Imperial wax inside the neck or powdered graphite from the same people who now put out the wax is all you need. This reform job is a piece of cake!
